It sure has been awhile since I blogged. Nothing all that interesting has happened besides celebrating my 2 year anniversary this week! (More on that another time)
Michael Buble is one of my absolute favorite singers and so I was ecstatic when I found out that I had been chosen to receive his newest CD to review, before it was even released! (That's where anniversary and family being in town comes in...no time to be online!) But I did listen to the CD everywhere I drove and had it on my iphone as well.
His newest album, Crazy Love, did not disappoint. His voice is truly magnetizing...there is always so much drama and as goofy as it sounds, so many of the songs make my heart swell and give me goosebumps. I have many favorites from this album...Crazy Love (classic Buble), Whatever it Takes, Haven't Met You Yet, Georgia On My Mind...really almost all of them! I didn't expect to enjoy Cry Me a River but after listening to it a couple of times, it was so powerful!
I've waited for more than 2 years for him to make another album and this album is just perfection! My husband thinks I'm odd because Michael Buble is the only music I have on my iphone and so that's what I listen to while I run. Not the typical workout music but I sure do love it and how relaxing it is. It's also great to listen to while you're cooking or cleaning..most songs are so upbeat!
As soon as I heard the track Crazy Love, I thought that it would be a great song for Dancing With the Stars and then a couple weeks ago they announced Michael Buble will be singing one night! I soooo hope this is the song he sings. And here's a little fiction and fact: My Mom was dating a musician who toured with Michael Buble a few years ago! I hope he comes to Dallas next year on his tour so I can go!
I definitely recommend his album, Crazy Love!

I found this type of post on another blog and thought I'd post it on mine!
For Today:
Outside my window: it's overcast and looking out makes me hope it doesn't rain so our mower can come Saturday. Yuck!
I am thinking: about what I am going to eat for lunch, how anxious I am for Adam to be home, and how I have overwhelming piles of magazines to look through and recycle!
I am thankful for: my amazing friends and family that have kept me company while Adam was out of town.
From the kitchen: I can't wait to be able to stock up on food again. I've been itching to cook and it's hard to cook for only one person.
I am wearing: a t-shirt and jeans. Boring, I know.
I am reading: Marley and Me currently. Next up is The Notebook and The Wedding.
I am hoping: to find something cute to wear this weekend when I go shopping with Emily tonight!
I am creating: some organizational files from all of my magazine tear-outs.
I am hearing: silence.
Around the house: it is completely spotless and I am so thankful to just relax today and tomorrow.
One of my favorite things: is snuggling with Adam. We are huge cuddlers! We hold each other all night, snuggle on the couch while watching TV, and I LOVE snuggling in bed on Saturday mornings.
A few plans for the rest of the week: Shopping with Emily tonight, Adam comes home tomorrow, our friend Kevin's b-day party this weekend, and spending Mother's Day with Adam's Mom and Grandmother.
What's going on in your life?

Ugh! The past week turned out to NOT be a good one. The week started out OK but then Thursday I went to my MIL's school to help paint some scenery for their upcoming program. She works at a very nice Christian private school and I got up there at 1:00 and had a great time helping.
At 3:00 we walked out into the parking lot to find my driver's side window smashed in. I was so upset and was shaking. I couldn't believe this happened there! There are certain places where I will take my cd player out but this was definitely not a time where I even gave it a second thought. Anyways they stole my cd player and a pouch from my glove box that held all the information on my car. I'm thinking they took it because it looked like one of those bank deposit bags.
I thanked God so much though because I realized I had grabbed my ipod at the last minute thinking that I might listen to it while I painted. I almost took my rings off and left them in the car...how stupid of me to even think about doing that. But what I seriously was so thankful for was that I had not changed my insurance coverage the day before! I had called because my premium had gone up a bit and the rep that I spoke with said I could get rid of my comprehensive and collision and it would be $300 cheaper. Adam and I decided it wasn't a good idea, wasn't that much money when it's divided by 6 months, and with my luck I'd get in a wreck the next day and be screwed. I definitely do not believe that it was "luck" or a coincidence that I didn't have much in my car. Now it has even given Adam a reality check on not leaving stuff in his car. He'd be out thousands of dollars if someone broke into his!
Anyways so now I am just going through all of the steps of my claim. I got my window fixed but now I need to get it tinted and get a cd player installed. Surprisingly, I am not nearly as angry as I thought I might be. It made the school realize they needed their cameras to point at the school, the police said they would drive by the school more often, they sent out an email to the teachers and parents to remind them to be aware, and it reminded Adam, his Mom, and I that you just never know and should really bring anything valuable inside. So many people were incredibly helpful that day...I have the most amazing family and friends...and even people I didn't know. I stayed the night at Adam's parents, they took me to Cracker Barrell, and I couldn't sleep that night and spent 3:00-5:00 am on the phone with my Mom having a great conversation. My incredible husband came home on Friday and I spent the best weekend with him.

I had a fun day yesterday! Adam had taken off work to play golf for his cousin's husband's birthday but the plans fell through. So he stayed home with me until Lowe's came and leveled the washer and dryer and then we went to Grand Prairie to play golf. We had a good time and halfway through Adam started playing with an old man who was ahead of us. It was a nice day out until about 4:30 when the wind kicked up and brought in the smoke.
Some of the towns along the way to my Mom's house were evacuated because of fires but thankfully I don't think it got near her town.
We had our friends Tyler and Heather over last night to watch some Dexter. We are now three episodes into the third season.
Today I am doing some shopping and hoping my family still gets to come in town for Easter. Also hoping the weather will be nice tomorrow!

I am busy getting my home ready for our family to come stay the weekend and I spent a lot of time at Adam's aunt & uncle's house yesterday. They are the ones putting on the Easter Egg Hunt and his uncle fell off of a ladder on Saturday and broke a rib! So we will be helping them out a bit so they aren't so overloaded with stuff to do for this weekend.
I slept soooo good last night! Monday night Adam was sick and our electricity kept going off (most of the city had this problem...stupid construction and wind!) I was up most of the night so I dragged all day yesterday.
I've been doing lots of laundry today and playing rummikub online in between straightening up the house. I had to call Lowe's today because our washer was not leveled when they installed it. The guy thought it leveled itself but it actually just levels the inside drum. So we have had a lot of sitting water in it and it's been driving me insane. They should be coming to level it for us tomorrow though!
I really need to be looking for a new lawn service...our old one had a problem with coming on the same day, double charges, and the grass just never looked great. We have Hazel in the backyard now and I keep the gate locked so it's a big deal if they come a day early or late. We have been thinking of just mowing the back ourselves so that we don't have to worry about her but then we will need to buy a weed eater. We are also going to start fertilizing ourselves because once again, our grass doesn't look that great. The company we used went up on prices and the tech made a comment about how bad our backyard looked and if we were new customers. WE USED THEM ALL LAST YEAR THANKYOUVERYMUCH! So they ticked me off and I realized it's not hard to fertilize on your own and it's much cheaper. And I don't have to deal with a**holes. :)
Off to research now!
This is our sweet Hazel...she likes to chew on plastic stuff.

Wow! It's been so busy here and it makes it hard to update a blog. We spent a bit getting ready for a garage sale that we had this past weekend, I helped at my MIL's school to get shirts ready for the younger kid's program (which was soooo cute but I STILL have green paint under my nails), and now I am just looking forward to our annual Easter Egg Hunt coming up this weekend.
This Easter will be the 10th Egg Hunt Adam's family has put on and it is such a blast! EVERYONE gets to participate (everyone from kids to Grandparents) and this year we should have 1,300 eggs to hunt for! His family is the best and we have so much fun doing the hunt, eating, and playing games the rest of the day. I am especially excited this year because my Mom, Jami, and Jeremy will be coming. I've been wanting them to come to a get-together with his family since they live 3 hours away and never get to see how great his family is.
After next weekend I will be not looking forward to the next month. Adam will be going out of town a lot and I will only get to see him on weekends. I can't stand being home alone and so I'm going to have to find something to keep me busy.
Anyways! Off to clean house and find something cute to make for Easter. These look cute!
