Yay for Tax Refunds!

I realized having a blog is a lot harder than I thought. I honestly never have much to write about unless I am hosting a giveaway! Anyways...was so happy to watch Dancing with the Stars last night, I don't know why Adam and I love this show so much. But I couldn't believe that Melissa from the Bachelor was on it. She was a replacement for someone who got hurt and she danced beautifully for only having 3 days to practice. It's going to be tough to choose between her or Shawn Johnson.

On another note, we finally bought the front loaders that we have been dreaming of for years! I was actually surprised that Adam really wanted some and that they were what he wanted to spend some of our refund money on. We bought some gorgeous steel blue Samsung ones and decided to paint our laundry room a bright pumpkin orange! I'm glad we finally painted a room in the house but I'm thinking it's the last one we will paint ourselves. Funny how it seemed like a good idea in the beginning. We thought that it would take a week or so to get the washer and dryer delivered so imagine our surprise when they said it would be the next day! We had to go home Friday night and finish painting the entire room. I still have a few spots left to finish but that's ok. It's so fun to look into the laundry room from the couch. It's so bright that it glows with the light off haha.

Dancing With the Stars

I am a HUGE fan of Dancing With the Stars! DH and I watch every episode and we have to see every single second of it. I'm excited that it comes back on soon...I think we may be rooting for Shawn Johnson.


I just found out that Derek Hough and Mark Ballas started a band, the Ballas Hough Band. They sound pretty good so I can't wait to hear more. I wonder if they will play on the show like Julianne did. (I love her music as well!) Listen for them! CD comes out March 10th!

I was contacted recently by Al Malekovic from Country Bob's to review their product and I am so excited that I agreed! They sent me TWO bottles of their All Purpose Sauce so quickly and I couldn't wait to make a recipe from their website. I decided (very last minute) to make their BBQ Chicken Pizza and we just loved it. It was super easy and tasted delicious. I followed the recipe exactly on DH's side of the pizza (I'm super picky) and didn't put any of the veggies on my side. I can't wait to try some more of the recipes...I'm definitely eyeing the Crockpot Orange Honey Chicken to try next.

What's even more exciting is that they are offering a free bottle to one of my readers! You absolutely need to try their sauces!

I want to paint my house!

I need help figuring out how to paint my kitchen. I love how open and big my kitchen is but now that I am wanting to paint, I'm so confused! What I am trying to decide is if I need to paint the breakfast nook too since it's pretty much attached to the kitchen. Since I am wanting to paint myself I figure I will have to paint both the same color since it will be too hard to get a crisp painted edge on the other side of my laundry door. Here are some pictures:

I love the grey in the new HGTV Dream Home but I think it would clash with my tile/counters/cupboards and would make it too dark.



So I was thinking a light green color..I have some pops of a bright green apple color in my kitchen now (kitchenaid mixer, teapot on stove, candles on top of cupboards) Maybe something like this....what do you think??

Christmas Gift

I am so happy that I started this blog with a giveaway! Thank you all for visiting and to the people who are already following my blog.

I love crafts! My favorite things to do are scrapbooking, sewing, and refinishing furniture. I am just now beginning to learn to crochet but sadly I have not finished ANY of the projects I have began. I wanted to take a beginners class at the high school near me but it starts next week while I am out of town.

Here is a craft I made for my little sister for Christmas last year. She wanted something for her walls and she loves blue so I decorated some wooden letters with paint and scrapbook paper! She loved it and I had a blast making them. Let me know what you think!
